I am so excited to hear about the program Fighting Hunger Together in America. It is a sad reality that the once progressive and leading country has a now many people who are living the unstable lifestyles because of the falling of the economy. When the recession hit America it was a drastic fall for all American people affected the jobs and everything. Many companies close down and thousands and thousands of people lost their jobs and had houses foreclosed. We are lucky despite the recession because my husband kept his job, living in our house and above all we eat foods four to five times a day.

This is an eye opening to know the numbers of Americans who does not know where to get their next meal.  There are more than 50 million mouths that need food because they do not have the money to buy their own meal. And who is to blame? The recession is because people lost their jobs and it is the main reason. Springtime is the season of the year that brings decrease in food and charitable donations to food banks around the country. Why not unite and Vote to fight spring hunger with Walmart? A simple way to help the American people who are hungry.

Walmart is working with feeding America and four of the most recognizable food brands in America- ConAgra, General Mills, Kraft and Kellogg’s in a nationwide Fighting Hunger Together initiative from Monday, April 9 through April 30. All consumers can join the fight against hunger in-store or through Facebook.

We can help by going to Facebook and vote for the community with the highest unemployment rate between April 9-30. I will place my vote to the community of El Centro, California as they have the highest rate for unemployment of 29.7% according to the department of labor report. Do not forget to go in store at any Walmart store between April 9 and April 30 to participate in Fighting Hunger Together by purchasing the select products from ConAgra, General Mills, Kraft and Kellogg’s. Let’s unite and help one another by supporting the said program. This is for a good cause. No mouth should be hungry.
