When we filed for our tax refund it is in joint account. My husband and I went together to our tax consultant. She prepared our taxes and few days later my husband went to our tax consultant’s office to pick up the folders with confidential information inside plus those papers that I need to sign, and he need to sign. He was surprised because he paid $200 something for the tax service. It was really expensive. It seems like it is getting higher every year.

He mentioned that it is time for us to look for another place that can prepares our tax in low cost. I agree that the $200 plus charge was expensive but I like the service. She knew what to do and she would really asked and help us. This year our refund is not that big but I felt thankful because I heard many of my friends who filed the same in joint account only received under a thousand refund. Ours was over a thousand. Our tax lady or consultant told us that we will do good next year because our second baby will be counted and will receive his refund. He was born this year so his refund is not counted yet.

My husband has the everything that he needs for his tax and yesterday I also had mine ready. All we need now  is to call the H & R for appointment.  I hope that she can do it this week for us as it can take up to three weeks to receive the refund. Lasts year, our refund was very small. Looking forward this year to be different as there are so many expenses that need to be taken care of. Plus, baby is coming  means additional expenses.
